About WATradersHub
WATradersHub (West Africa Traders Hub) is a digital trade facilitation platform created by Cross Border Communications Consult to support traders, particularly small-scale and cross-border traders, with access to trader registration, identification, verification, trade information and other services that can make cross-border commerce easier and more organised.
The platform responds to the practical challenges faced by traders at West Africa’s land borders, including limited access to reliable trade information, difficulties with trader identification, fragmented information systems, non-tariff barriers, complex border procedures and limited access to formal business and financial opportunities.
WATradersHub is designed to create a digital identity and information gateway for traders, helping to improve the visibility and credibility of traders while providing a structured platform through which relevant trade-related services and information can be accessed.
Through the platform, traders can register their businesses and trading activities and obtain a WATradersHub Trader ID. The Trader ID is intended to support trader identification and verification and is not a replacement for the Ghana Card, ECOWAS National Identity Card or any other government-issued identification document.
WATradersHub also seeks to connect traders with relevant stakeholders, including trade associations, border authorities, financial institutions, technology providers, development partners and other service providers. This creates opportunities for traders to access information, capacity-building programmes, business support and other services relevant to their activities.

To become a trusted digital gateway connecting West African traders to information, identification, markets, services and opportunities for inclusive cross-border trade.
